كتب الصحفي عمرو طبش على حسابه الرسمي على موقع فيسبوك:

ادعوا لنا… لم أتمكن أنا وعائلتي من مغادرة منزلنا في خان يونس، إذ لا يوجد حتى الآن مكان نلجأ إليه، مضى أسبوع كامل ونحن نبحث عن مأوى دون جدوى.

الليلة سنضطر للمبيت في المنزل رغم خطورة الوضع، القصف والانفجارات لا تتوقف، والأصوات مرعبة، يبدو أنها ستكون ليلة قاسية، ولا نعلم إن كنا سننجو هذه المرة أم لا، سامحونا جميعًا… وأتمنى أنني، كصحفي، قد أديت الأمانة ونقلت الحقيقة كما يجب، بكل صدق وإخلاص.

لقد أنهكنا التعب، والله لم يعد فينا قوة… حسبنا الله ونعم الوكيل.

 

Pray for us… My family and I have not been able to leave our home in Khan Younis, as there is still no place for us to seek refuge. We’ve spent an entire week searching for shelter, but sadly, we’ve found nothing.

Tonight, we will have to sleep at home despite the danger. The bombing and explosions are relentless, and the sounds are terrifying. It feels like it’s going to be a harsh night, and we don’t know if we will survive this time.

Forgive us all… I only hope that, as a journalist, I have fulfilled my duty and conveyed the truth with honesty and integrity.

We are utterly exhausted. Truly, we have no strength left… God is our only refuge. Hasbunallahu wa ni‘mal wakeel (God is sufficient for us, and He is the best disposer of affairs)
