كتب الصحفي محمد المصري عبر صفحته الرسمية على موقع انستغرام، تعليقًا على الصور:

ويكتبهم على ورقةٍ ثمّ يتوه أكثر..
يُحصيهم للناس علّه يشطبُ اسمًا من القائمة..وتخرجُ يد من تحت الغُبار تُلوّح له وللحياة!

أهلهُ كلّهم تحت أنقاض بيته الذي كان يومًا عامرًا..
يبحثُ عن طرف شال أمّه أو شعرة من أخيه..

لأنّ الحياة هُنا وحده..دونهم..كأنّها الموت!

He writes their names on a piece of paper, and then becomes even more lost..
He makes a list of his family members to help find them, hoping to cross off a name or two, or wishing that a hand may emerge from beneath the dust, and wave to life and him!

All of his family are under the rubble of the house that was once full..
He searches for a piece of his mother's shawl or a strand of his brother's hair..
Anything to make sure they're alive!

Because life here..on his own..without them..
feels the same as death!
